6 PM WEATHER 10-14-26 A strong cold front will move through Thursday night and Friday morning. Additional rain storms are possible ahead of the front with much cooler air to follow for the start of the weekend.    WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the 50s to low 60s. THU RSDAY: Mostly cloudy.  Chance of rain storms, especially during the late afternoon and evening when an area of low pressure and associated warm cold fronts move in. A few strong to severe storms are possible with damaging wind gusts the main threat.  While the risk of a spin-up tornado or two is low, it’s not zero in this scenario. A LEVEL 1 severe risk exists for Central Indiana as of Wednesday afternoon.  High temperatures, some of which may not come until late, will range from the 60s across Northern Indiana to the 80s south of Indianapolis.   THURSDAY NIGHT: A passing cold front will keep the chance of rain going. Winds become northwesterly, ushering cooler air once again. Lows will be in the 50s. FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, blustery, and cooler with lingering showers. Daytime highs may only be in the 50s to lower 60s. Winds from the northwest could gust 30-40 mph.  Some showers could hang around into the evening for high school football and the Purdue game, but that’s to be determined. FRIDAY NIGHT: Breezy and cooler. Lows in the lower 40s and upper 30s. SATURDAY: Abundant sunshine with crisp, cool air. Highs in the upper 50s. Conditions look really good for the big Indiana football game against Ohio State. SATURDAY NIGHT: Clear and chilly. Lows in the 30s. Areas of frost remain possible. A few colder spots could get a freeze. SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and milder. Highs in the 60s. If you are coming to Indy for the Colts game you won’t experience any issues from Mother Nature. NEXT WEEK: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies continue through at least Wednesday.
