A 30-year-old Delaware man has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, possession of a deadly weapon, DUI and related offenses following a crash in Wilmington, Del., that left three people dead.
According to law enforcement officials, on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, Nicholas Resto, has been
indicted and is committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution as he awaits trial after, allegedly, being involved in a March 21, 2026 crash that killed 48-year-old Curtis Jackson, 35-year-old Caroline Shockley, and 41-year-old Brandon Hill.
On that date, officials said, police responded to the area of 9th and Walnut streets in Wilmington, Delaware, at about 4:18 a.m., after a vehicle, driven by Resto, allegedly struck a vehicle carrying the three victims.
Investigators later determined that Resto was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and was speeding at the time the crash occurred, officials said.
Police are asking anyone with information or video of this incident, and anyone who may have witnessed this collision, to contact Senior Corporal Keith Johnson of the Wilmington Police Department at 302-571-4415 or [email protected].
