(KRON) -- When South Korea's largest beauty retailer, Olive Young, made its U.S. debut earlier this year in Los Angeles, it had shoppers camp overnight to be among the first customers. The excitement for Korean beauty products (frankly, anything Korean) is real. Although it is not an Olive Young coming to the Bay Area, a K-beauty retailer is opening its first stores in the Bay Area. Moida is coming to Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco and the Serramonte mall in Daly City. The San Francisco location is opening in November, and the Daly City store's opening will be in December, according to Moida's website. Moida inside Stonestown will be on Level 1 across from the Boudin restaurant. It takes over the space previously occupied by Crystal Days, a mall spokesperson tells KRON4. The Serramonte location is located in 45B, near Old Navy and Jagalchi, where Jumpity Bumpity used to be, according to a mall spokesperson. (Photo by Michael Simon/Getty Images for Medicube) Popular New York-based Japanese supermarket to open first Bay Area store Moida currently has three locations open across Orange (Calif.), Ontario (Calif.) and Altamonte Springs (Fla.). It plans to open two stores in the Seattle metro area, three in Florida and one in San Diego. Moida is a known international exporter of K-beauty products with locations in Portugal, France, United Kingdom, Italy and Indonesia. The company is owned by South Korea-headquartered Silicon2.
