A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed and killed at a Lexington home Thursday morning in what police are calling a domestic violence situation.Dario M. Williams, 35, has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and first-degree burglary. Lexington Police first responded to the home in the 3300 block of Valhalla Drive around 9:56 a.m. for reports of a commercial vehicle striking a home and a disorder occurring.When officers arrived, they found a female victim suffering from apparent stab wounds and a FedEx truck that had crashed into the residence. The Lexington Fire Department said the crash caused significant structural damage to the home. The truck was removed by tow truck Thursday afternoon.Officers and emergency medical personnel rendered aid before the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.I saw forensics investigators examining what appeared to be a knife on the ground at the scene.Williams was also taken into custody on unrelated charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and second-degree criminal mischief. We got domestic disputes all the time. But look everywhere, it's all over the world... I'm praying for her." Murphey said. FedEx released a statement following the incident."Our heartfelt thoughts are with the victim and their loved ones. Safety is our top priority, and we are fully cooperating with the Lexington Police Department. As this remains an active investigation, please direct further inquiries to local authorities." FedEx said.Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing or the vehicle crash.
