Moon Crust Cafe, located on 1149 S. Shelby St, and previously housed at Logan Street Market, celebrated its grand opening on Friday evening with a gathering of live music, tarot readings and more. This whimsy-heavy cafe offers a variety of options, including matcha, boba, coffee, baked goods, and a daptogens. It’s a one-stop shop, as it also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner selections.The owners are a mother daughter duo- Misty and Giana. The pair thought of every detail when putting together Moon Crust Cafe. The space offers cozy nooks with natural lighting, luxurious purple chairs, fun bathrooms, and a fairy garden complete with lights out back. There’s even a hidden passageway opening up to a secret garden. According to the owners, this space was an alley prior that was filled with weeds. The duo is intentional and makes the most of the space both inside and outside, offering a place where folks can gather and feel comfortable hanging out.There will be a plethora of events held at the cafe, including “Coffee and Queers”, a time for queer people to connect on every 2nd Sunday of the month, and live music accompanied by tarot and other divination readings.
