BOONE COUNTY, Ind.An inmate died at the Boone County Jail on Monday.In a news release sent out by the Boone County Sheriffs Office Monday afternoon, they said Boone County Corrections Officers found an unresponsive male inmate i n an assigned cell within a secure housing area of the Boone County Jail.Emergency medical services were immediately requested. Despite lifesaving efforts by personnel on scene, the inmate was pronounced deceased. The inmate has been identified as Andrew Rose, 26, of Lebanon, Indiana. Rose was booked into the Boone County Jail on April 14, 2026, for a probation violation and was serving 140 days of his sentence, the news release stated.An autopsy will be performed by a board-certified forensic pathologist in the coming days.
