Mr. Kingston’s auto exhibition at Seiberling Mansion KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — Mr. Kingston’s Auto Exhibition is back for its fifth year this weekend at the Seiberling Mansion in Kokomo. The event runs 4-8pm Friday and 10am-2pm Saturday at 1200 E. Sycamore St. in Kokomo. The exhibition highlights around 40 historic vehicles, including the 1910 Kokomo motorcycle, 1917 Ford and Haynes cars and a 1952 Belvedere. Kids can sit in some of the cars. There will also be free admission to the Howard County Museum. The exhibit includes kids activities like coloring, a scavenger hunt, face painting, temporary tattoos, make your own license plate and guess an historic automobile artifact. Anne Shaw from the Howard County historical Society said the exhibition is named after George Kingston, a prominent industry leader in Kokomo who created the design for the carburetor used in Henry Ford’s Model T. “The Kingston Family lived in the mansion from 1914 to 1931,” Shaw said. “They were actually the longest residents in the house.” Shaw said actors portraying Kingston and his wife will be in attendance to host visitors.
