Summit County Sheriff’s Office deputies detained an individual suspected of a South Salt Lake robbery on Saturday. The South Salt Lake Police Department issued an attempt-to-locate call for a robbery suspect, according to a departmental shift report. Sheriff’s Office deputies found and de tained the individual on S.R. 224 and transferred the case back to South Salt Lake. The Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple calls between Monday, July 6, and Sunday, July 12, including two injured hikers and several outstanding arrest warrants. Sunday, July 12 Deputies stopped a driver after they observed multiple traffic violations. They discovered during the traffic stop that the driver had active arrest warrants. They detained the driver and transported him to the Summit County Jail. Friday, July 10 Summit County Search and Rescue was called to help an injured hiker near Dollar Lake in the Uinta Mountains. The hiker had a broken ankle, and a Department of Public Safety helicopter transported the hiker to the trailhead. Monday, July 6 Search and Rescue was called to help a woman who had broken her leg in a mountain biking accident near the Yellow Pine Trailhead. First responders found the woman and escorted her to the start of the trail, where an ambulance then transported her to the hospital.
