With a backdrop of wildflowers and bluebird skies, summer at Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain reveals the warm-weather side of high-elevation life filled with alpine adventure, scenic beauty, world-class dining, and family-friendly experiences that create lasting memories.
Deer Vall
ey Resort
Deer Valley’s summer season revolves around hiking, mountain biking, scenic chairlift rides, concerts, and culinary events. Guests can explore miles of lift-served trails on wheels or foot, enjoy panoramic views from Bald Mountain, or simply take in the fresh alpine air on the Silver Lake and Sterling Express chairlifts.
Mountain bikers will find one of Utah’s premier bike parks here, featuring trails for all ability levels. For those more interested in watching than riding, the Fox US Open of Mountain Biking brings world-class racing to Deer Valley September 11-13 as the final stop of the 2026 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series.
Hiking enthusiasts can access miles of scenic routes through wildflower-filled meadows and aspen groves.
Dining remains a centerpiece of the Deer Valley experience. Summer brings outdoor dining alongside the resort’s popular culinary programming including Deer Valley Creative Academy classes throughout the warmer months. This year’s Taste of Luxury Series includes a special celebration of the 50th anniversary of the historic 1976 Judgment of Paris wine competition. Guests can enjoy an evening featuring Marcus Notaro, head winemaker of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, alongside returning guest chef Clement Gelas of Talisker Club. Happening pond-side at sunset, the five-course dinner pairs acclaimed wines with a thoughtfully curated menu inspired by one of the most influential moments in wine history.
Music lovers can also enjoy performances throughout the summer months at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, while seasonal festivals, family activities, and the Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival on September 19-20 add to Deer Valley’s packed summer calendar.
For frequent visitors, the Summer Access Pass provides unlimited access to mountain biking, hiking, and scenic chairlift rides, along with a 15% discount on dining, retail, rentals, bike clinics, and early access to select concerts and festivals.
Park City Mountain
Located in the center of Park City and Canyons Village, Park City Mountain delivers a different kind of mountain adventure. The resort’s Adventure Park is designed for families, thrill-seekers, and anyone looking to add a little adrenaline to their summer.
The Alpine Slide, a 3,000-foot descent that winds through the mountain beneath the Payday Express lift, remains the resort’s signature summer attraction. Riders control their speed as they navigate curves and straightaways, making it a memorable experience for both kids and adults.
Utah’s longest Mountain Coaster offers another unforgettable ride, twisting through more than a mile of mountain terrain. Guests can also soar above the slopes on the Flying Eagle Zipline or race friends on the ZipRider, which reaches speeds of up to 45 miles per hour.
Beyond the adrenaline attractions, Park City Mountain offers scenic chairlift rides from the new 10-person Sunrise Gondola, Crescent Chair, and Payday Lift for easy access to higher elevations and expansive mountain views.
The Red Pine Gondola provides lift-accessed mountain bike riding with all-level trails, highlighted by the scenic 28-mile Mid Mountain traverse and the top-to-bottom flow of Ricochet. Hikers can also explore everything from the panoramic Mid Mountain Trail to easy village trails like Sunrise Loop. Mini golf, climbing activities, and family-focused experiences are also offered.
On July 2-4, all eyes will be on Canyons Village as it hosts the multi-day Forum Fest to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
Finally, on the Canyons Village side of the resort, golfers can play the 18-hole, par-70 Canyons golf course with 550+ feet of elevation change set against the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains.
Two Resorts, One Unforgettable Summer
Whether you’re savoring a sunset dinner at Deer Valley, taking in sweeping alpine views from a chairlift, flying down the Alpine Slide, or exploring miles of mountain trails, Park City’s resorts prove that resort adventures only heat up when the snow melts.
