TODAY Today is the calm reset day in the middle of a bigger pattern change. Sunshine should win out for much of the afternoon, and after the chilly start, temperatures recover into the upper 60s around Indy with a northeast breeze around 5 to 10 mph. It is an easy weather day for errands, games, and anything outside, with the main takeaway being that the air feels comfortable now but is already setting up for a much warmer Sunday.  TONIGHT The evening stays quiet and noticeably milder than the last couple of nights. Expect partly cloudy skies with lows only in the low to mid 50s, and an east southeast wind around 5 to 10 mph. If you step outside late, it will not have much of a chill to it at all, which is a good clue that the warmer side of spring is about to take over.  TOMORROW Sunday is the real spring tease. After some early sun, highs jump into the lower 80s with a south southwest wind around 10 to 20 mph and gusts up to around 30 mph. It will feel warm, a little breezy, and very different from the start of the weekend. Most of the day still looks highly usable, but the stronger wind will be enough to move around loose outdoor items and make patios, decorations, and hats a little harder to manage.  TOMORROW NIGHT The evening starts mild and breezy, then the forecast turns more active late. Showers and thunderstorms become more likely after the overnight hours get going, especially after about 2 a.m. Lows stay very mild in the mid 60s with a south southwest wind around 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to around 30 mph. Most of the night is not a washout, but if you are up early Monday, keep in mind the weather may be arriving right as the overnight quiet ends.  MONDAY Monday keeps the warm pattern going, but it looks more unsettled than Sunday. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then another chance redevelops later in the day. Highs still reach around 80 with a southwest wind near 15 mph and gusts up to around 30 mph. This is the kind of day where much of it may still be workable, but you will need to stay flexible because dry stretches and stormier stretches may take turns.  MONDAY NIGHT Monday night stays unusually warm and a little unsettled early, then turns quieter for a while. A few storms may still be around in the evening, but coverage drops off later. Lows only fall into the upper 60s with a south southwest wind around 10 mph and a few gusts over 20 mph. For late evening travel, the main concern is simply catching one of those leftover showers or storms before things calm back down.  TUESDAY Tuesday looks warmer still and starts to lean more serious from a storm standpoint. Partly sunny skies and a gusty southwest wind around 10 to 15 mph push highs into the low to mid 80s, and storm chances return by afternoon. Any stronger storms would have plenty of warmth and wind energy to work with, so Tuesday is a day to enjoy the warmth but also stay weather aware as the second half of the day unfolds.  TUESDAY NIGHT The night stays warm, breezy, and increasingly active. Showers and thunderstorms remain possible with lows in the upper 60s and a south southwest wind around 10 mph with gusts above 20 mph. This looks like another night where rain may come in rounds rather than one clean batch, so wet roads and periodic downpours are the main impact.  WEDNESDAY Wednesday keeps the spring pattern rolling with more showers likely and another thunderstorm chance in the mix. Highs stay in the lower 80s with a south-southwest wind around 10 to 15 mph and gusts over 20 mph. It is another very warm day, but by this point the repeated rain and storm chances may matter more than the temperatures, especially if you have outdoor plans that need long dry windows.  7 DAY FORECAST The big story is the flip from a quiet and pleasant Saturday into a very warm and increasingly active stretch from Sunday through midweek. Sunday brings the first real burst of warm air and gustier wind, then storm chances start later Sunday night and continue at times Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The next few days also carry a better signal for stronger storms and locally heavy rain as the atmosphere stays warm, humid, and energized. So the pattern ahead is less about one single storm and more about several windows where you will want to check radar and stay flexible around outdoor plans.   ...read more read less
