(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Mar. 23)–Lincoln Police say a man is suspected to have been involved in a DUI and later assaulting an officer, following a crash late Saturday night. LPD public information manager Erika Thomas says an officer showed up to Bryan West Cam pus shortly after midnight Sunday morning to help with a DUI/crash investigation that happened shortly after 10pm Saturday night.  The officer contacted the person responsible, 33-year-old Hans Devall of Lincoln, who had crashed his black 2013 Kia Forte into a tree. Officers located several mini bottles of alcohol, marijuana and THC products in the car. Thomas says Devall was taken to the hospital for treatment where he was spitting saliva and blood on and toward both nurses and officers. While officers were attempting to gain control, Thomas said Devall twisted one of the officer’s fingers and kicked him in the jaw, causing injuries.
