Supercross returns to Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Motorbikes, fireworks, and over 26 million pounds of dirt – that’s right, Supercross has returned to Lucas Oil Stadium! The action kicks off on Saturday, starting with a fan fest at the stadium’s south lot from no on to 6 p.m. The fan fest will let fans get up close to the teams and drivers as they prepare, practice, and qualify for races. You’ll be able to take photos and interact with many drivers, as well.  Supercross racer Tristan Lane describes his sport as “the NFL of dirt bike racing.” He also says it means the world to be racing in the Racing Capital of the World. “Our sport is super open, we’re the NFL of dirt bike racing,” he said. “We love Indy, but Indy is no joke. It’s an honor (to be here.) I grew up watching four wheels, 2 wheels, I’m super biased, I love motorsports.” Pre-race ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m., and racing begins at 7 p.m. For more information on this weekend, you can find that here.  ...read more read less
