(WRIC) -- After a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Hanover County Friday morning, causing power lines to fall across Mechanicsville Turnpike, all lanes have closed in the area. In the morning on Friday, March 6, the Henrico County Police Division announced that all lanes o f Mechanicsville Turnpike were closed from Springdale Road to the Hanover County line. The Hanover County Sheriff's Office noted in a social media post Friday morning that the downed utility pole caused a widespread power outage in the area.
