The Quakertown Community School District board has accepted the resignation of the superintendent at a special school board meeting on Tuesday night. On Friday, Feb. 13, Superintendent Dr. Matthew Friedman took a leave of absence, officials said. In the meantime, the school board appointed th e assistant superintendent, Dr. Lisa Hoffman, to act as interim superintendent. Then, during a special school board meeting on March 3, district leaders officially accepted Dr. Friedman’s resignation and appointed Dr. Hoffman as the district’s interim superintendent.
