March 4, 2026 morning forecast with Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  Soggy conditions today and for the next several days. Flooding concerns will be likely throughout the rest of the week. Temperatures continue to climb and we may reach record readings on Friday. TODAY: We picked up mo re than two and a half inches of rainfall in Indianapolis yesterday. That was a daily rainfall record. This also makes it the seventh wettest March day on record in Indianapolis. Look for a few scattered showers today under mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures will climb right around 57. We will look for more showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon into the evening hours. TONIGHT:  Showers and thunderstorms possible tonight some of which could be on the stronger side. There is a marginal risk or a level 1 out of a level 5 for areas south of Indianapolis. Main risk will be moderate to heavy rain along with the possibility of hail. Low temperatures will stay steady into the mid 50s. TOMORROW: Spotty showers and maybe even a few rumbles of thunder possible for your Thursday. It gets even warmer with high temperatures climbing near 66. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Friday will be the warmest day of the week. Lots of dry time expected on Friday and are mostly cloudy conditions. High temperatures will climb near 76 degrees. The record high for Friday is 75. Isolated showers and maybe a few rumbles of thunder heading into the afternoon and evening. We will see a chance of strong to severe thunderstorms late Friday night overnight into early Saturday morning. Some of these thunderstorms could be on the stronger side with a level 1 out of a level 5 or marginal risk in place across much of the state .
