Two more juvenile males have been arrested in connection with Sunday’s shooting at Maplewood Mall, making four total arrests in the shooting that injured a man. Maplewood Police and Fire received a 2 p.m. report of a person shot inside Maplewood Mall, 3001 White Bear Ave. When officers arrived, th ey found a man with a gunshot wound to the hip. He was transported to St. Paul’s Regions Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. According to police, the incident started with a group fight in the mall’s lower concourse. Two minors were arrested at the scene and later booked at the Ramsey County jail on suspicion of third-degree riot. Two more juveniles were arrested at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday by St. Paul and Maplewood police. Police say one of the males arrested is believed to be the shooter. He was booked at the Ramsey County jail on suspicion of first-degree assault, riot in the second degree and possession of a firearm by an ineligible person. The other suspect was booked at the jail on suspicion of riot in the second degree. “Significant video evidence” from the scene helped investigators, police said.
