A downed parachutist was critically injured in Lake Elsinore on Thursday, Jan. 15, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The fallen parachutist was reported around 4:30 p.m. near Corydon Road and Plessner Way, according to Karina Espinoza, a department spokesperson. The person was criti cally injured and was transported to a hospital. How the fall happened remained under investigation, Espinoza said. No further information, including how far the parachutist fell, was immediately available.
