A celebration of life will be held Saturday for John Beam, one of the most accomplished football coaches in Oakland history. Beam died on Nov.14, a day after he was shot at Laney College, where he was a longtime coach. The celebration of life will start at 2 p.m. at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland.
