(KRON) -- San Jose police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who attacked a woman inside a bakery because she started recording him. The incident happened on the afternoon of December 17, 2025 inside Peter's Bakery, located on Alum Rock Avenue. San Jose Police Department wrote, "T he adult male suspect was attempting to sell products to the business, and when the employee declined, the suspect became enraged and proceeded to damage items inside the business." A woman who was shopping in the bakery attempted to record the incident and he attacked her, police said. The assailant fled from the scene before officers arrived. Man accused of killing parents in Concord dies in jail On Friday, SJPD detectives asked for the public's assistance to identify the suspect. He appears to be in his 50s, about 5'9" tall, and was last seen wearing an orange hat with the letter "G," police said. "The suspect is believed to frequent establishments in east San Jose," the police department wrote. He is wanted on suspicion of assault and vandalism.
