The CIF Southern Section last week released its awards for the 2025 girls volleyball season. Moreno Valley senior outside hitter Ava White was selected the CIF Southern Section Division 10 Player of the Year after helping the Vikings win a section championship. Kunkel, a senior libero, was chosen the Division 5 Player of the Year after helping the Knights win the program’s third section title. Kunkel was the defensive leader for Ontario Christian and registered 20 digs and five aces in the Division 5 championship match. White, a junior outside hitter, was selected as the Division 10 Player of the Year after leading the Vikings to the program’s second section championship in three seasons. White tallied eight kills and five aces in the Division 10 championship victory. An additional 22 Inland players were chosen to the first team in their respective playoff divisions. Ontario Christian’s Paige Liebhart and Moreno Valley’s Jennifer Strawn were recognized for guiding their teams to section titles.
