4 charged for involvement in Greensburg meth distribution ring

GREENSBURG, Ind. (WISH) — An investigation by troopers with the Indiana State Police Versailles Post resulted in arrests and charges for suspects involved in the distribution of methamphetamine in Decatur County and the surrounding area.
On Nov. 23, troopers, assisted by officers with the G
reensburg Police Department, responded to an apartment on East Street in Greensburg, Indiana, after receiving reports of criminal activity taking place. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was served at the apartment. During the searched, suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications, and drug paraphernalia were located in the apartment.
The investigation indicated that occupants of the apartment were obtaining methamphetamine and then distributing it to hundreds of individuals in Decatur County and across southeastern Indiana.
As a result of the investigation, troopers arrested Ronald D. Lawrence, 53, of Greensburg, Indiana, on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, and possession of a legend drug.
Deanna M. Embree, 47, was arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The case was presented to the Decatur County Prosecutor’s Office, which resulted in Jaime L. Huffman, 48, and Rea D. Frazier, 45, being charged with visiting a common nuisance as a result of the initial investigation.
