See the list here Need a lift to go vote on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3? Here’s how to get a free ride to a voting location. Studies show that limited access to a car can hinder voting. Most North Texas transit operators will give free rides to the polls to encourage as many people as possible to vote. The list of free and discounted rides is below. DART DART wants to help you exercise your right to vote in the general and special elections by offering FREE rides to polling locations within the service area on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Ride at no charge on all DART buses, trains, GoLink, the Dallas Streetcar, Paratransit Services, and the TRE between EBJ Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. Just show your valid voter registration card to ride for free that day. Paratransit riders must schedule their Nov. 3 trip by calling 214-515-7272. Planning to take GoLink to the polls? Trinity Metro Trinity Metro confirmed it will again be offering free rides for voters on all local services on Election Day. Customers who are riding to or from the polls are eligible for free rides on Trinity Metro buses, Trinity Metro On-Demand rideshare services (including paratransit) and Trinity Metro TEXRail. Free rides also include Trinity Railway Express stations in Tarrant County, including CentrePort. To get a free ride, customers should notify their driver or train conductor that they are traveling to or from a voting location. Check the list of voting locations to find the best option. Star Transit STAR Transit offers free, round-trip rides to local polling places for early and Election Day voting. All registered voters within the STAR Transit service area are eligible to ride free. The service area includes Kaufman County, Rockwall County, Seagoville, Balch Springs, Mesquite, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Hutchins, Lancaster and Wilmer. All STAR Transit services, including Demand Response, Fixed Routes, and STARNow are eligible for this offer. To ride free, tell the bus operator or reservationist you are riding to and from the polls, or use the code Vote1126 on the STARNow App. Rides are subject to availability and must be in the STAR Transit service area or STARNow zone. Free rides are only available to voters traveling to and from the polls. To schedule a free ride to vote, call STAR Transit at least 30 minutes in advance of the desired trip. Scheduling agents are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday at 877-631-5278. Arlington On-Demand The City of Arlington is offering free rides for voting on the Arlington Handitran and On-Demand services. Election Day, Nov. 3: use promo code “NOV26VOTE” when booking on either service for a free round trip to and from the approved Election Day voting locations in Arlington.
