Nov 02, 2026
A Texas tech entrepreneur, his wife and two kids, along with their friends and nanny, were the passengers killed when a private jet nosedived and crashed in a South Florida neighborhood on Sunday.
Who were the passengers of the plane that crashed?
Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, and their
kids, 4-year-old Emma and 2-year-old Charlie, were the family aboard the jet, relatives said in a statement posted on Facebook on Monday.
The family’s friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, and the kids’ nanny Anita Maria Cetina were also on the plane.
According to his LinkedIn page, Robinson was the founder and CEO of several tech companies.
“We are deeply grateful to the first responders, investigators, and the Palm Beach County community for their care, and to everyone who has reached out with love. Our hearts are also with the families of the pilots, who are grieving alongside us,” the families said in the statement.
Who were the pilots of the jet?
Jeff Gregory was identified as the pilot of the Bahamas-bound Learjet, said a spokesperson for East Coast Jets, a private charter company where Gregory used to work in 2016-17.
“We are deeply saddened to learn that Captain Jeff Gregory was among those who lost their lives in yesterday’s tragic aviation accident in Palm Beach,” the statement read. “Our prayers go out to Jeff’s family, his fellow crew member, the passengers, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.”
His co-pilot was identified by family members as 20-year-old Nathalia G. Filgueiras. She earned her license when she was 17 and learned to fly from her father, who is also a pilot.
Where was the plane crash?
The crash happened in Greenacres, about 7 miles southwest of West Palm Beach.
Hundreds of people in the community are dealing with the aftermath of the crash, with some forced to spend the night in a shelter.
What caused the plane crash?
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and National Transportation Safety Board investigators expect to be at the site of the crash for several days to recover the wreckage.
Investigators said they found evidence that the aircraft started breaking up before it hit the ground and that debris from the aircraft could be spread far and wide.
Weather conditions will be a major focus of the investigation, investigators said. Rain pounded the region on Sunday, and one of the pilots reported icing conditions at a high altitude in communications with air traffic control.
