Reminders from Lancaster County Election Commissioner Ahead of Election Day Tuesday
Nov 02, 2026
Courtesy of Connoisseur Media Lincoln.LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 2)–Lancaster County Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen has some reminders for you, if you plan to head out and vote in person Tuesday.
That includes bringing a valid photo ID.
“For most people, that’s their valid Nebraska-issued driver
’s license or state ID,” Wiltgen told KFOR News. “If you don’t have one of those, a passport or a passport card, another federal ID that has your photo and name on it.”
If you are student at a college or university, you can use your student ID. Those IDs can also be used at any of the public schools in Lincoln and Lancaster County.
Wiltgen says all the elected offices and statewide ballot initiatives will be on one ballot sheet for residents in Lancaster County, but for voters in the city of Lincoln, there will be two ballot sheets to complete. He suggests looking over the ballot, which you can find at the Election Commissioner’s Office website, to be aware of the ballot initiatives you are deciding on, along with candidates in elected offices.
Wiltgen says he’s predicting a 52% voter turnout at the polls across the county. Full election results will be posted at kfornow.com, once the polls close at 8pm Tuesday. Polls open at 8am Tuesday.
After the polls close, you can hear coverage of the mid-term election on KFOR through ABC News and KFOR News will provide local results, as they are updated.
