Oct. 19, 2025, around 3:30 p.m., the 67-year-old victim was at the Linda Mar shopping center about to grab a coffee from Starbucks. Nearby, prosecutors said Brooks was talking to someone when he remarked, “F--king Mexicans,” and approached the victim, who was still by their truck.
Brooks punched the victim in the face before either of them said anything to each other, according to the DA’s office. The victim fell to the ground unconscious while Brooks walked away.
