Fischer Farms celebrates partnership to bring meat to your doorstep
INDIANAPOLIS — Each and every Saturday, WISH-TV highlights a local company together with our partners at Indiana Grown.
This week, Joseph Fischer of Fischer Farms and Jon Cantor of ClusterTruck joins News 8 at Daybreak to t
alk about how the two companies are teaming up to bring locally raised meat to customers as both groceries and prepared meals.
Fischer Farms, a family farm in St. Anthony, south of Bloomington, supplies beef and pork for select dishes on ClusterTruck’s menu. Customers can also order the farm’s meat directly through Fischer Farms’ website.
“Our farm has been our family for 160 years now,” Joseph Fischer said. “And what we really pride ourselves on being is top quality, so premium, natural, local and sustainable.”
Fischer said the partnership gives customers another way to get the farm’s meat, either delivered raw or prepared through ClusterTruck.
“I think it’s just really fun because we’re two Indiana companies working together,” he said.
Fischer Farms sells steaks, pork chops, ground beef and skirt steaks. Fischer pointed to the marbling in the farm’s steaks and said its meat is used in ClusterTruck menu items.
“We have over 100 different menu items, right? So something for every picky eater out there,” said Jon Cantor of ClusterTruck. “But what today we’ve brought is some of the items that we’ve transitioned to our new Fischer Farms beef and pork.”
“ClusterTruck is a delivery- and pickup-only restaurant. Customers can order at ClusterTruck.com or through the company’s app by entering an address, choosing items and checking out. The company delivers to homes and offices within its service area, which covers much of central Indianapolis and central Indiana, from downtown to Carmel, through four area kitchens,” Cantor said.
Fischer said the partnership reflects both companies’ focus on serving high-quality food and using clean ingredients from farm to table. Fischer Farms’ meat contains no antibiotics or fillers, he said.
“You know exactly where your meat’s coming from,” Fischer said.
Cantor said he visited Fischer Farms and toured the operation. Fischer said the farm put Cantor to work during the visit.
“The partnership offers customers the choice of ordering Fischer Farms meat for home preparation or choosing prepared dishes from ClusterTruck,” Fischer said.
