A Middletown man has been arrested and charged for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating in a Delaware Wawa and Target on two separate occasions. Middletown Police say they responded to the first incident at a Target on Middletown Warwick Road on Oct. 7 after receiving a report of a man exp osing himself and masturbating inside the store. The man was taken into custody and was arraigned on two counts of lewdness and one count of second-degree indecent exposure. Police said he was then released and ordered to participate in pretrial supervision. Then, on Oct. 26, officers responded to a similar incident at a Wawa on Middletown Warwick Road, only to find the same individual. The same man had allegedly exposed himself while masturbating and engaged in inappropriate contact with the victim, according to police. Police investigated the incident, and arrested the man, who they did not publicly identify, on Thursday, charging him with third-degree unlawful sexual contact, second-degree indecent exposure, and lewdness. The man was arraigned and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post a $2,000 cash bond. Middletown Police ask anyone who may have witnessed similar behavior or experienced a similar incident to contact Detective Wormer at 302-376-9950 or by emailing at [email protected]. ...read more read less
