Having served as Summit County treasurer for over 15 years, I have had the opportunity to work alongside many dedicated public servants. Among them, Malena Stevens stands out for her professionalism, competence and unwavering commitment to Summit County. I have seen Malena navigate a wide variet y of situations, including difficult and challenging ones, and she consistently handles herself with intelligence, integrity and grace. She is thoughtful, well-prepared and exceptionally capable. Anyone who has worked in local government knows that unexpected challenges arise, and not everything is within our control. What matters most is how we respond — with accountability, sound judgment, and a commitment to doing what is right. Malena’s judgment and dedication consistently inspire confidence in those around her.  Perhaps what speaks most highly of Malena is the tremendous respect she has earned from those who have worked with her, both elected and appointed. That kind of respect doesn’t come from a title or position. It is earned over time through hard work, sound decisions, and the way someone treats others. Malena has earned that respect many times over. Those of us who have worked closely with Malena know firsthand the kind of person and public servant she is. We have seen her character, her work ethic, and her genuine commitment to our community. Summit County is fortunate to have someone of her caliber willing to dedicate herself to public service. I have tremendous admiration for Malena, both personally and professionally, and am proud to have worked alongside her. I hope Summit County voters will give her their support in this election.
