Now, more than one year later, new details have emerged about their split.  On Oct. 21, TMZ reported that Kevin would have to split a large portion of the money from the sale of his music catalog with Dreka. Details about when Kevin sold the music catalog and how much he made have yet to be disclosed. However, all the money must go into a Morgan Stanley account managed by Bread Winner’s alumni CFO Robert Bracy and certified public accountant William Duerksen, as an authorizer. Dreka will receive $929,341.50 for child and spousal support, as well as $150,000 directly.  Kevin, on the other hand will get $538,798 directly and $225,000 on a monthly basis. Another $328,000 will go to Dreka’s lawyers, her accountant, and a third-party mediation service. Fans shared their responses in the comments. One person who was happy for Dreka said, “Yes! I’m so happy for her! She 1000% deserves it!” One man, upset by the verdict, warned others, “Don’t get married fellas!” A third person claimed Dreka rightfully deserves it for building Gates’ career behind the scenes. One person said, “She was there from the beginning, literally.” According to Dreka, she was a major force in helping Gates reach stardom.  In a 2016 interview with The Source, she explained how she went above and beyond to support Kevin.  She said, “I basically went out and read every book I could find. I went and talked to any and everyone that I could. Then again, people in the industry shut you out.” Dreka continued, “We pretty much just made our own path. We started off so old school, just basically getting any and everyone that we could to hear his music. From then on, we started booking shows. I would go to promoters that I knew who booked other well known artists and try to get Kevin on the stage.” She has also appeared in several of Gates music videos, and he name-dropped in several songs. Before Dreka filed for divorce last year, the two were already in a rocky place. She and Gates haven’t been seen together publicly since 2020.    In 2025, Kevin started dating influencer Brittany Renner while still married to Dreka. Dreka filed for divorce that same year. In January 2026, Kevin called Dreka out, claiming she only filed for divorce because he stopped giving her money after finding out she and he family had been stealing. He also said, “I challenge you to tell people that we had an Islamic marriage. I challenge you to tell people that my children lived with me for the last two years.” The “Really Really” rapper also claimed he had been giving Dreka money while she was with a man, one he did not name. Dreka did not respond. As for Kevin and Renner, they had previous interactions as she starred in his music video “Bad For Me” in 2022. However, they did not publicly announce their romance until three years later. In April of that year, they went into a supposed Islamic marriage, which ended 52 days later. That same year, Kevin started dating former Marine and influencer Jelenny Tejada.  She claims they did get married, noting that Kevin refers to her as “his wife.” But speculation remains about whether they legally tied the knot. Tejada, 26, does, however, wear a big diamond ring that Kevin gifted her.
