CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Domestic violence and cancer survivors received free beauty and wellness treatments on Sunday at Kakes Contours' 3rd annual Services for Survivors event. The event ran from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18 at Kakes Contours, located at 605 N Courthouse Road. "It 's very intentional for me to give back to my community when it comes to these two particular topics because these have been the most impactful in my life," said Mikale Sampson, owner of Kakes Contours. Services for Survivors was inspired by two women in Sampson's life who she lost to cancer and the domestic violence situations she has both been through and observed, she said.
