PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 28-year-old has been charged with malicious wounding after a shooting at a Prince George apartment complex earlier this month. According to the Prince George County Police Department, officers were called to the Puddledock Place Apartment Complex at 5:10 a.m. o n Oct. 3 for reports of shots fired. Officers found a vehicle that had been hit by gunfire and surrounding citizens said that they saw multiple people fleeing the scene. Authorities said investigators soon found out the identity of the shooter, obtained felony arrest warrants and "began covert apprehension efforts." Police arrested 28-year-old Koran Deonte Turner on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 14. He is currently being held without bond at Riverside Regional Jail on the following charges: Malicious wounding Use of firearm in violent felony Possession of firearm by convicted felon Reckless handling of firearm 8News reached out to Prince George Police to find out what injury led to the malicious wounding charge, but they were unable to comment further on the incident.
