BATON ROUGE mdash; A Third Street nightclub is closing its doors at the start of 2027, the owner announced Tuesday.nbsp;Violet, which is in the former location of Boudreaux and Thibodeaux's, will close on Jan. 1, David Facey said in an Instagram post.Facey said that he is "tired of dealing with" ot her bar owners and property owners.nbsp;"I'm working too hard rn to make sure nothing happens and y'all are distracting me, which just jeopardizes people's safety," he said in his post.nbsp;In August 2026, Facey spoke to WBRZ about security at his bar following a street fight on Third Street.Facey previously operated Dead Poet along East Boyd Drive before it closed in July 2023.nbsp;Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
