Every voice matters
Oct 10, 2026
My name is Robert Duncan McNeill, and I’m running for Wasatch County Council, Open Seat A.
I love the Wasatch Back because of its people, its natural beauty, and its sense of community. I’ve been part of this community since the mid-1990s, had a second home in Park City beginning in the earl
y 2000s, and have called Heber City my full-time home since 2020. This is where I’ve chosen to build my life, and I care deeply about what we leave for the next generation.
My values are straightforward: community, fairness, accountability and making sure every voice matters. I believe we are stronger when we look out for our neighbors, find common ground, and make decisions based on what is best for the whole community—not simply those with the most money, influence, or access.
Wasatch County is changing quickly. I believe residents should have a meaningful voice in how that growth happens. We need to protect our water and other local resources, invest responsibly in infrastructure, and preserve the rural character and quality of life that make this such a special place.
My career as an actor, television director, and executive producer on numerous film and TV productions taught me how to solve unexpected problems, work with very different people, manage tight resources, think creatively and get things done.
Serving on the national board of the Screen Actors Guild and multiple union committees taught me the importance of representation, accountability and finding common ground.
I’m running to bring those values home — to listen, serve everyone, and help build a Wasatch County where everyone has a place at the table.
I’d be honored to earn your vote. Thanks so much,
Robert Duncan McNeill
