SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A woman was taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred overnight Saturday outside San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre, the San Francisco Police Department announced Wednesday. Shakia Vanderbilt, 42, was identified by SFPD homicide detectives as the s uspected shooter. She was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of murder. SFPD officers responded around 1 a.m. Saturday to the 900 block of Market Street on reports of a shooting. A man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified by the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as Ulysses Tykee Davis, a 47-year-old Contra Costa County resident. Earlier in the night, the Warfield Theatre had been hosting the “Baddies USA Chapter Three Concert” from 9 p.m. Friday to midnight. “Baddies” is a reality television series that follows interactions between women living together who often get into fights. Police have not confirmed a connection between the event and the shooting.
