A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that injured another man inside a Wawa in Sicklerville over the weekend, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. Marcus Norman, 20, was charged with multiple offenses after prosecutors said he started a physical fight with a m an inside the Wawa in Winslow Township before pulling out a gun and shooting him. At approximately 9:07 p.m., Winslow Township police responded to the Wawa on Sicklerville Road after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Norman suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment. Police were later notified that another 20-year-old man had walked into Jefferson Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was later transferred to Cooper University Hospital. During the investigation, detectives obtained surveillance video that showed Norman and the victim arguing inside the store. Police said Norman then punched the victim, leading to a physical fight. According to prosecutors, the video showed Norman pull out a firearm and shoot the victim. Officials said Norman also sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his left hand. Detectives recovered a handgun at the scene. Norman was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
