A Delaware man has been arrested and a second suspect is being sought after two customer vehicles were stolen during a burglary at an auto repair shop in Wilmington, police said.
Tzair Bryant, 25, was arrested Sept. 30, four days after the burglary at Penny Hill Service and Repair Center at 517
Philadelphia Pike, according to Delaware State police.
Back on Sept. 26, around midnight, police said trooper responded to the repair shop after receiving a report of a burglary in progress. When they arrived, they found broken glass on a garage door and searched the business, but the suspects had already fled.
Police said an investigation revealed that a man and woman had forced entry into the business and stole keys belong to customers who had left their vehicles at the shop for service. The suspects then used the stolen keys to take two customer vehicles from the business.
On September 30, 2026, the Wilmington Police Department received information that one of the stolen vehicles was in the area of East 8th Street near North Buttonwood Street, according to police. Officers responded, found the vehicle, and took Bryant into custody.
Bryant was found with one of the vehicle’s keys, and it was determined he was suspect from the burglary, police said.
Police said Bryant was charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief under $1,000.
Police are still looking for the second suspect.
