RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Advocates are sharing the importance of education and accountability as an investigation into sexual misconduct at Trinity Episcopal School continues. According to an email from Trinity leadership, a "number" of boys are accused of sharing non-consensual photos. “This kin d of trauma can affect somebody’s physical well-being, somebody’s emotional well-being, their safety, how they view relationships, how they view themselves, and it can affect somebody’s future," said Tyler Wallace, education and prevention manager with Safe Harbor. Wallace says education is key to prevention, and if misconduct does occur, people should be held accountable. “Prevention has to start young, and it has to continue through all our lifespans," she said. "If we can teach kids about consent, about healthy relationships, about how to respect each other, that can make a huge impact in preventing violence in the future.” School leaders say the school's cell phone policy has been changed as its investigation and criminal investigation continue. ...read more read less
