HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Nearly a year after a drunken raccoon turned a Hanover County ABC store into its personal playground, the infamous "Trashed Panda" is back from the dead — this time in Halloween-themed merch. Officials unveiled brand-new Halloween-themed "Halloween Trashed Panda" sh irts, the latest merchandise in its "Trashed Panda" series. The new campaign comes nearly a year after Hanover officers found the animal face down next to the toilet on Nov. 30, 2025, at an ABC store in the county's Ashland area. The raccoon had left behind a trail of broken bottles and ransacked shelves, leaving a cleanup crew scratching their heads. The unusual celebrity has garnered an overwhelming response from the community, going viral across the U.S. and making national headlines. Virginia ABC launched a campaign in the raccoon's honor, and Hanover raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in “Trashed Panda” T-shirt sales as of last year.
