The Eagles will likely be without a few key starters when they face the Rams on Sunday afternoon. Both DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Zack Baun (concussion) were not practicing again on Friday and missed the entire week. The Eagles will have to announce game statuses later in the day, but it’s o bviously not looking good for either. Without Smith, the Eagles will need to rely on Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper and Elijah Moore. Without Baun, the Eagles will turn to third-year linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. to start next to Jihaad Campbell. In addition to Smith and Baun, the following players were also not practicing on Friday morning: TE Dallas Goedert (knee), WR Hollywood Brown (ankle), OT Fred Johnson (knee), S Marcus Epps (groin). This will be the second straight missed game for Goedert, who suffered an MCL strain in Week 2 and was expected to miss a few weeks. Epps popped up as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice, which normally indicates an injury happened in practice. He and Michael Carter II had already been splitting reps, so expect to see more of Carter on Sunday afternoon. Everyone else on the active roster was practicing on Friday, including the other three players who were limited on Thursday (Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Will Shipley) and the guys who were listed as full participants (Jalen Carter, Jihaad Campbell, Darius Cooper, Jonathan Greenard, Byron Young, Tank Bigsby). ...read more read less
