(BCN) -- A 50-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run collision while walking in Castro Valley on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP officers and EMS personnel were sent to the intersection of Somerset and Alvertus avenues in the unincorporated Alameda County commun ity at about 1:30 p.m. in response to reports about a man being hit by a vehicle. Attorney says woman will plead not guilty in killing of son-in-law at East Bay park When they arrived, officers found the man in the middle of the road, where he was pronounced dead, said CHP spokesperson Officer Rolando Guzman.
