BATON ROUGE mdash; Ochsner Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon to celebrate a major expansion of its Baton Rouge medical complex, The Grove.The multimillion-dollar project doubled the surgical centerrsquo;s operating rooms in an effort to expand its capacity and reduce wait tim es.Twenty new surgeons, including breast, colorectal, orthopedic, podiatry and gynecologic oncology specialists, were hired as part of the expansion alongside three new radiologists.The Groversquo;s update is the latest step in Ochsner Baton Rougersquo;s $50 million investment in its facilities, which included an expansion in its pediatric and womenrsquo;s healthcare services."Our investment in The Grove is about creating a place where patients and families can access more of the care they need in one convenient location," CEO of Ochsner Baton Rouge Chuck Daigle said.
