FRANCISVILLE mdash; Bruce Dodd was sworn in as 20th JDC District Attorney on Thursday after Sam D'Aquilla stepped down from the position he's held since 2002.Dodd, a former assistant district attorney under D'Aquilla, will now be the top prosecutor in East and West Feliciana parishes."He's got a great office set up, a great staff, great ADAs," Dodd said after being sworn in. "I just wanna keep the boat going in the same direction."D'Aquilla is now set to become a judge, running unopposed for the Division B bench at the 20th JDC.nbsp;Republican Cy D'Aquillamdash;a distant relative of the former DAmdash;and Ken Fabre, who has no party affiliation, are running in the Nov. 3 election for DA.
