u0022u0022 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Despite the calendar turning to October, it will feel like summer once again before a fall front brings rain overnight and cools us off into the weekend. TODAY: A breezy southwest wind gusting to 20-25mph will push highs to the mid and upper 80s this afterno on. While most of our day will be dry under partly to mostly cloudy skies, a stray shower cant be ruled out especially this evening. TONIGHT: Widespread rain moves in overnight after midnight, some of which could be heavy at times. Not expecting too much flooding, but some areas may have some ponding on the roadways in poor drainage areas. Lows will fall to the low 60s overnight. Rain amounts will be around ½ to upward of 1″ of rain.  TOMORROW: Rain will continue for the morning commute to work tomorrow. Rain will taper around noon, with clearing skies expected for the afternoon. Highs will only make it to the mid and upper 60s in the afternoon as we fight a breezy north wind. TOMORROW NIGHT: Perfect early October evening for high school football with temperatures in the mid to eventually low 60s! WEEKEND: Beautiful weather is expected both days this weekend with plenty of sunshine and temperatures around 70 on Saturday and warming to the low 70s by Sunday. 7 DAY FORECAST: Very seasonal and sunny week ahead with highs reaching the upper 60s to low 70s.
