SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department said a 72-year-old man was quickly arrested after allegedly stabbing a victim outside their workplace Wednesday and fleeing the scene in a vehicle. SFPD said officers responded at 2:48 p.m. to the 200 block of 11th Street for a report of a stabbing and located the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. Police said officers rendered aid until medics arrived and took the victim to a nearby hospital. Investigators believe the suspect and victim know each other, but it is not clear what led to the incident. Police said, "SFPD officers used an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) to locate the suspect vehicle. Within minutes, officers responded to the vehicle’s location, conducted a high-risk vehicle stop and detained the driver." The suspect, identified as Larry McDougal, was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at (415) 575-4444 and refer to Case No. 26057438. Anonymous tips can also be submitted. ...read more read less
