Degree Wellness CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — A Carmel wellness center is offering residents quick access to cryotherapy and other therapeutic services designed to fit busy schedules. Degree Wellness Carmel offers cryotherapy, infrared saunas, facials and other wellness treatments for clients of all ages and genders. What is cryotherapy? Janice Bhavnani, co-owner of Degree Wellness, said cryotherapy exposes the body to extremely cold temperatures as part of a wellness treatment. “It reduces inflammation, provides a natural energy boost, and helps with metabolism,” Bhavnani said. Sessions last about 10 minutes, making the treatment an option for people with busy schedules. “We encourage those who are intimidated to try it since it’s such a short experience,” Bhavnani said. How the process works Rajan Bhavnani, co-owner of Degree Wellness, demonstrated the cryotherapy process with Nataliya Oliynyk during a recent visit to the facility. Participants wear protective gear during the session, including socks, Uggs-style footwear, gloves, headgear and a mask designed to prevent them from directly breathing the cold air. Clients also can choose music to listen to during their session.
