With Brandon McNulty recently winning the Road Cycling World Championships in Montreal, he will be the third American ever, and first since 1993, to wear the “Rainbow Stripes.” Over the course of the next year, he’ll have the honor of wearing the special jersey denoting the current world champion, and we’ll likely get to watch the Phoenix, Arizona-native cycling great Tadej Pogacar across the biggest stages of next year’s Tour de France emblazened with cycling’s greatest honour. A community push to bring a race of this caliber back to Utah would go a long way toward making this a reality.
