It was a night of celebration for NBC10 and Telemundo62 as journalists and news teams from both stations took home Regional Emmy Awards for their work covering the stories that matter to communities across the Philadelphia region. The honors were presented Saturday night during a ceremony at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown and recognized work ranging from breaking and continuing news coverage to weather, sports and investigative reporting. Among the honorees were NBC10’s Matt DeLucia and Robert Johnson, along with Telemundo62 journalists Crishtbel Mora, Reece Rosario and Evelisse De Jesús Ortiz. NBC10’s “News at 4pm” was honored in the Daytime Newscast category, while the station’s coverage of the “Nursing Home Explosion” received an Emmy for Continuing Coverage. Charles Walter and Ted Greenberg were among 15 people inducted into the Silver Circle Society, which honors broadcast professionals with at least 25 years of service to the industry. Walter, a technical supervisor, has been part of NBC10 since 1986, spending four decades with the station. Greenberg is a familiar face to viewers across the region as NBC10’s Jersey Shore reporter. He also reports for NBC4 New York. The Silver Circle recognition celebrates their decades-long contributions to broadcasting and their commitment to serving viewers in the communities they cover.
