(KRON) -- A video of a mom carrying a baby and a plate of food back to her husband sitting in their seats at a San Francisco Giants game has gone viral. People online were outraged that the husband seemed to not be helping the multi-tasking mom, but in a Substack post, she explained what really happ ened. "My name is Erika. Our baby is Anastasia. My husband is Ramses. Before you decide what our marriage looks like, I would like you to hear from the woman you’re defending," she wrote. The video shows a mom, who identified herself as Erika, carrying an armful of food back to her seats with a baby strapped to her front while her husband sat watching the game. Legendary Giants announcers Kruk and Kuip zoomed in on the couple and provided a fake narrative of what was going dubbing her "mom of the year." "We initially thought the broadcast was funny," Erika said. Then, she said she was flooded with angry DMs regarding the video calling Ramses names and saying she should leave him. She said she got up to use the bathroom and offered to grab food since she was passing by. She said Ramses offered to take the baby, but she wanted to keep her. Erika also said Ramses offered to help with the food, but she told him to enjoy. "There was no argument about ketchup. He didn’t tell me I forgot anything," she said. Erika explained that recently, Ramses lost a friend and she suggested to go to a baseball game to honor him. "My husband will never admit it, but I know he’s been grieving him deeply," she wrote. "That evening, I chose to take care of him. A camera catching me doing something for my husband doesn’t show all the times he has done something for me." She then reflected on internet culture and how "going viral" has hurt their family, saying that some people have even gone so far as to find their full names and phone numbers. "Going viral has shown me firsthand that we have become quick to vilify people from a brief clip, filling in everything we cannot see with assumptions," she wrote. "To the people who insulted Ramses, please remember that our children may someday read your words or watch your videos. I don’t want them to search for this memory and find strangers calling their dad a deadbeat. Those are untrue judgments to leave behind about someone you have never met." She also addressed Kruk and Kuip for their broadcast. "I believe you meant no harm. But your jokes helped turn a moment of love and support into something strangers used to ridicule my husband and judge our marriage," she wrote. "What was a few moments of amusement on your broadcast became days of real pain for our family.
