Local police say two shooting incidents that took place on Saturday morning in San Francisco's Sunset and Outer Richmond Districts may have a common thread. Following the early morning activity, one person was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.As the Chronicle reports, an SFPD s pokesperson states that the first shooting incident occurred in the Sunset on 22nd Avenue just after 5 am when a resident discharged a firearm in response to a would-be burglar. Police responded to the scene, where they say the victim in question acknowledged using their firearm.Unable to find the suspect, police then received a separate call 20 minutes later, this one regarding a shooting on 47th Avenue in the Outer Richmond.The SFPD spokesperson said that when officers arrived on the scene of the second shooting, they discovered a person with "an apparent gunshot wound." This victim was taken to a local hospital but reportedly did not suffer any life-threatening injuries in the shooting.At present, per the Chronicle, it’s currently unclear if the person shot on 47th Avenue has any relation to the attempted burglary on 22nd Avenue.
