A man was shot to death during a car chase Friday night in Grand Crossing on the South Side. The man, 26, was standing near his vehicle outside of a business in the 7500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when another vehicle drove by and someone from inside pointed a gun at him around 7 p.m., Chic ago police said. The man got in his vehicle and drove away while the other vehicle followed him. The people inside the vehicle began shooting at him while in traffic, police said. The man was struck in the back and knee and hit a pole in the 7400 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name hasn't been released. No arrests were made. ...read more read less
